You know what makes everyone feel happy; its simple a chocolate chip cookie.
I’ am a mom of three beautiful babies and cookies in our house don’t last long, our house is always an open door between friends and family dropping by and cookies are the best to share. I love baking homemade goodies because you are in control of the ingredients. This recipe is a classic chocolate chip, adapted by trial and error from a few different Pinterest searches. Our family favourite to the perfect chocolate chip cookie is; crispy outside, chewy and soft inside than melts in your mouth.
These cookies are a weekly bake on my list, and a staple in my kid’s lunch boxes, we all love chocolate chip cookies, I mean what kid doesn’t. This is a great activity to get everyone involved in the kitchen especially kid’s.
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs Room Temperature
1 cup Unsalted Butter
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chip
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a mixer, beat butter for 2 mins until creamy texture, add sugar both brown and soft, slowly beating until it changes colour. Add vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
Slowly add dry mixture in the wet mixture, do not over mix.
Add chocolate chips.
Drop spoon cookie batter, onto cookie baking sheets. I like to line the baking sheets with parchment paper, I find this allows cookies not to burn on the bottom.
Bake for 10-12 mins until warm brown, for softer cookies adjust less bake time, for crispy cookies increase bake time.
